Finis Energy

Each square modular tile is made with traction built right in. Engineered to hold a person up to 250 pounds, you can confidently go up to your roof to check out your gutters, retrieve lost frisbees, or just to enjoy the view!

Tesla’s tiles are made entirely of glass, making them incredibly slippery. A roof with any level of grading would be dangerous to step on. Not only that, but glass tiles collect dust and dirt, making your new roof less efficient.

Finis Upgradeable image

Our roofs provide the same power as Tesla’s. However, when we create a more efficient solar cell we will be able to replace your outdated technology for the new one with a single tech, in a single day. We simply unplug the old and plug in the new cell.

To upgrade a Tesla roof, the entire roof will need to be replaced. Plus, their roofs are dependent on batteries, meaning those will have to be replaced down the road as well – not a cheap upgrade!

Finis Repairable image

Nothing is invincible. That’s why we designed our roofs to be 100% repairable. When a solar cell get damaged we can easily replace that one cell. In under two hours, one technician can remove and exchange that cell for a new one, all while your roof continues to produce energy.

Tesla’s roofs are designed like traditional shingles, meaning if one stops working the repair team will need to remove tiles from the top down to the broken cell. Your power will need to be disconnected for the duration of this large project.

Finis Valuable image

Every Finis Modular Solar System installed has been over-producing energy needed to keep a house powered all day. That power can be harnessed by switching your appliances to electrical. The Finis roof can power a high-efficiency electric water tank or furnace, saving you money on your natural gas bill.

Tesla relies on a battery system to maintain the energy usage throughout the night. They suggest purchasing two Powerwalls to avoid using grid power. For those with higher demand, such as a bigger home, air conditioning or electric vehicles, that cost could jump to six Powerwall batteries.

Finis Durable image

Our composite material can stand up to the elements: wind, rain, hail. In fact, our solar roofs operate in a 115 degree temperature range, from -30 ᵒC to +85 ᵒC.

The Tesla Powerwalls are only useful between -20°C to 50°C, not particularly useful for Canadian homes that must regularly brave temperatures significantly lower than that.
